MSL-50 shortlisted for two ECN Awards 2024

We’re thrilled to announce that we have been named a finalist in not one but two prestigious categories for the Electrical Contracting News (ECN) Awards 2024! Our innovative solar-powered MSL-50 modular lighting system has been shortlisted for both Lighting Product of the Year and Power Product of the Year. This recognition highlights our commitment to sustainable lighting solutions and MSL-50’s growing impact on public lighting infrastructure.

The MSL-50 is the result of our dedication to innovation in lighting. This modular solar-powered LED lighting system was designed with durability and efficiency in mind, making it ideal for shelters and canopies that lack mains power connection. The MSL-50 provides a “fit-and-forget” solution for urban lighting with a robust stainless steel construction, vandal-resistant, toughened glass lens, and a reliable solar-powered operation.

We’re already seeing its benefits at locations like Luton, where it enhances safety and energy efficiency without the need for grid dependency. Steven Lain, Service Manager, Bus Services & Operations, Luton Borough Council, remarked, The solar lighting installation for this first tranche of bus shelters in Luton has worked really well. It not only provides safety and accessibility but also sets a precedent for sustainable development; we look forward to seeing the results applied to some of our larger bus shelters around the borough.”

Tim Baker, Managing Director of Acrospire, commented, “Our focus has always been on delivering practical, energy-saving solutions to meet the real needs of our clients. The MSL-50 embodies this mission, offering a reliable, sustainable lighting option for public spaces that need durable, low-maintenance lighting without a connection to the grid.”

The winners will be announced on 5th December 2024 at Coventry’s Heart of England Conference & Events Centre. It’s an honour to be recognised alongside other leaders in the electrical contracting industry, and we’re looking forward to an exciting evening.

Stay tuned for the results, and a big thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey!
