From pharma to lighting and already making a difference!
It’s been just over seven months since Monika Pasternak joined Acrospire as our Strategic Buyer, and in that time, she’s quickly become an integral part of the team.
Coming to us from the pharmaceutical sector, Monika hit the ground running. She settled in quickly, mastering our processes and MRP system with impressive speed. But that’s no surprise, with over eight years of experience in manufacturing and engineering, she brings a wealth of expertise to the table, particularly in PCB manufacturing processes and technologies.
Monika’s buying knowledge is already helping to shape the future of our supply chain. She’s uncovered new suppliers for key components, made smart cost-saving decisions, and proven that buying isn’t just about price, it’s about performance, relationships, and reliability.
But she hasn’t stopped there.
Monika’s approach is versatile, hands-on, and full of initiative. As well as taking ownership of purchasing functions, she’s also stepped in to support invoice processing and production planning, showing real dedication to the success of the wider operations team.

Away from the spreadsheets and supplier calls, Monika is a big believer in healthy eating and keeping fit. Something we suspect helps keep her so sharp under pressure!
Seven months in, Monika’s already delivered impressive results, and we’re excited to see what comes next as she continues to shape our supply chain.

Our story
The idea for Acrospire was formed in 2012 when founder Tim envisioned a different kind of lighting manufacturer: one that would not only deliver outstanding customer experiences but also prioritise fair treatment for its employees.
We’ve come a long way
Motivated by the belief the industry wanted and needed better, Tim shared his plan to establish his own venture with Hatty, who simply couldn't let him do it alone.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Protecting local jobs and ensuring the best quality possible.
Working from a rented office by day and assembling lanterns in a garage at night, Tim and Hatty set to work.
11 Years later
Acrospire now inhabits a 14000² ft manufacturing facility in Basingstoke, Hampshire. We’re a proud partner of the Made in Britain scheme, ISO9001 certified and a member of all relevant lighting industry trade bodies.
